Australian iron ore company Cape Lambert has reached an agreement with Marampa Iron Ore Limited, a subsidiary of African Minerals, to increase its investment in Marampa, the holder of the Marampa Iron Ore Project in Sierra Leone to approximately 35%.

Rio Tinto’s subsidiary, Rio Tinto Iron & Titanium, has begun production of ilmenite at its QMM mineral sands operation at Fort Dauphin in Madagascar.
