Diversified South African-based resources group Exxaro Resources Limited (Exxaro) today reported consolidated revenue of R13,8 billion for the 12 months ended 31 December 2008, an increase of 36% when compared with the same period in 2007.

Earlier this week it was announced that the Zimbabwean Stock Exchange (ZSE) would be open for trade for the first time since November 2008. Impala Platinum released its financial results for the six months ended 31 December 2008 to the market this morning. The company described the platinum sector as a year of “two halves”. The share traded marginally softer in early trade on Thursday morning.
